Clairaudience Book Cover Design

The brief was to created a cover that communicates the essence of clairaudience typographically.

The black background highlights how clairaudience relies on hearing messages, symbolising not being able to see. I repeated the single word 'listen' multiple times to create the word ‘closely’, symbolising the short, one word messages communicated through clairaudience. The repeated, small, soft type resembles a clairaudient whisper. The small “listens” make up the larger word ‘closely’. I did this as it makes you have to look further, focus and see the design as a whole in order to understand the title of the book. This is just like how when you receive a message through clairaudience you often need to think deeply to interpret what they mean as they are short.
